Ministries at Holy Cross

Reva Arnold Food Pantry

The Holy Cross Food Pantry was established in January 2001, by Reva Arnold, to help provide food to needy families in our community. Originally the parishioners alone supported the pantry, but additional funds are now being received from the Diocesan Task Force for the Hungry and The Church of St. Michael and St. George in St. Louis, enabling the pantry to serve more of those who fall "between the cracks" of other support systems. Referrals to the pantry are received by word of mouth, the local Family Services Agency, United Gospel Rescue Mission and other non-profit organizations. In 2009, the Vestry renamed the pantry to honor the memory of its founder.
Hours of Operation Wednesday from 1pm-3pm

St. Margaret's Guild

“The purpose of this organization shall be to carry forward the spiritual, missionary, educational and social work of the Church in the parish, community, Diocese, Nation and World through prayer, study and gifts.” They were written, according to historians, probably around 1900 when the Guild was formed.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month, from September to June usually in the Parish Hall and always at 12 noon. This enables those of our members who work to bring a sack lunch and join us.  Annually, we sponsor one major fund raising event a Fall rummage Sale. The proceeds from the fund raisers support the general fund of the Guild, including support of the Altar Guild. After 100 years, we are still forging ahead on our journey filled with commitment, determination, devotion and love for Holy Cross and its members.
